#41
Once again thank you Da Vinci Code.
Unfortunately same situation like before. Laptop doesn't display anything.
I have wifi PCI\VEN_168C&DEV_0036&SUBSYS_402617AA&REV_01
I would like to put in intel 3160ngw.

Have you enough data to change wlan in whitelist, Da Vinci Code?

How did you flash bios by Programmer?Using Pomona Clip or desold?
I dont see entire range of hex values for your current stock adapter.
First 4 digits (168C) and second (0036) are located in other groups, so i will change it.
If your laptop starts with black screen also, so i suggest, bios image have protection or flashed not properly.

Please,do not post requests me in PM.Bios modding is very dangerous work.If i provide you confirmed modded bios, please donate for my dangerous work https://goo.gl/98BgtO.Thank you!

I can identify four adapters in whitelist.
14E4:4365-Broadcom
168C:0036-Atheros (yours)
14E4:43AE-Broadcom
8086:08B4-Intel Dual Band AC3160
So i changed 08B4 to 08B3 (Added your new wlan card to whitelist).I sent this mod in PM.
If it didnt work also so i have no idea, it seems is something wrong!
Perharps, bios is RSA checking like new HP bioses or Programmer write image not properly.
I will give some information. This user reports bios didnt work
https://www.bios-mods.com/forum/Thread-R...st-Removal
Whitelist checking procedure is same as yours so i made same changes and black screen Sad
It seems bios have additional protection....

Please,do not post requests me in PM.Bios modding is very dangerous work.If i provide you confirmed modded bios, please donate for my dangerous work https://goo.gl/98BgtO.Thank you!

Thank you for engagment Da Vinci Code.
Unfortunately it doesn't work.
I compare bios dump, which I send you and the last one.
There is a lot of differences. Whole block of bios is moved.
Could you add new wlan card to whitelist once more time?
Probably dump you modified is broken.
Please try with this dump:

Hello!
You can try do it yourself.
1.Unpack your dump using Andy's PhoenixTool 2.5.0 version and above.
2.Go to "Dump" folder and find this file 11D378C2-B472-412F-AD87-1BE4CD8B33A6_951.ROM (it is your whitelist checking module)
3.Copy it to another place and open it using HxD editor.
4.Click "Search" button and type "B4 08" in finder menu. Choose datatype is hex-values.
5. You will find these hex values at offset 00001370.
6.Change B4 08 to B3 08 and save changes.
7.Choose "Lenovo" in Manufacturer field at Phoenix tool window.
8.Now you can see active Advanced button and press it.
9.Ignore warnings and find this options and enable checkboxes for it:
-Allow user to modify other modules;
-No slic.
10.After that press "Done" and then "Go"
11. Put your modified module to DUMP folder after Information window.Agree to override it.
12.Now you get modified bios and can flash it using Programmer.

Thank you once again.
I changed wifi in module few time, using your tutorial. When I make any change in bios and rebuild it, always no display. When I rebuild it without any changes, it works perfectly.
Do you know different method to change this wifi in whitelist or how to set parameters in phoenix software?
