[REQUEST] Lenovo Thinkpad X230 Tablet (GCETxxWW) Whitelist Removal
Pretty sure. I install the current bios version over ISO
The Lenovo web page say the same -> http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/products...s/ds029683

I'm in the last state on installing windows 7 and then will check the windows flasher.

As i previously sad i download the current Windows flasher from Lenovo Support page and run it to confirm the bios Version.
And in addition check the link that i give you before. I found that the links that i give you in previous post was wrong. Sorry for that.
Here the current link:
https://download.lenovo.com/pccbbs/mobiles/gcuj24us.exe

So the Version of the "ThinkPad BIOS Flash Update Utility" is 15.25 and the BIOS version is 2.64.

Since my x230 is on the current BIOS version the Utility give me following message "BIOS image file is same as BIOS ROM. An update is not necessary at this time." I can only confirm with OK and then exit. Is there an possibility to force the Update? Like -f Option?

Hello!
Unfortunately whitelist checking code of 2.64 ver is differ from 2.62.So it takes some time for analyzing.
Anyway, i finished 2.64 mod so you can test itSmile

Hi!
on first try i get the message as previously sad in my post ( "BIOS image file is same as BIOS ROM. An update is not necessary at this time."). So i downgrade to 2.63 and try again. Btw is there an possibility to force the flash process? May be with secret command line options like -f ?
On second run first i get the messages that say "do you want to brick your MoBo?" and i say "Yes" and so on. Then the Winflash64.exe began to run shortly. After some try i get a following error: "Failed to verify Secure Flash image. The utility has not completed."

After that i can try again or exit. No flashing has done and the version has not changed.
Now i will try with the ISO flasher...

The ISO EFI flasher give the same error

Now WINUPTP.EXE give me the following error after some try of the winflash64: "An unexpected error has occurred. The utility process has not completed."

I have another screen shot from the winflash64 with a error 234. Its to quick to get these error with snipping tool so i make a short vid and grab the picture at right time ;D

Same as before. WINUPTP.EXE give the error "An unexpected error has occurred. The utility has not completed."
The winflash64 utility has also the same behavior but without the error 234 message.
