Let's try to disable bios rewrite protection using EFI Shell
1. Take USB stick and format to FAT32
2. Create directory structure EFI\Boot
3. Download BOOTX64.EFI http://www.mediafire.com/download/81vegw...+Shell.rar
4. Put downloaded file to Boot directory.
5. Restart and enter BIOS setup.
6. Make sure you have following values:
Legacy Support: Disable
Secure Boot: Disable
7. Reboot and press F9 to boot from USB stick
8. Give commands:
setup_var 0x17F 0x00
setup_var 0x17E 0x00
setup_var 0xC4 0x00
setup_var 0x17D 0x00
9. Reboot and after that run this tool as Admin

10. REPORT RESULT HERE

Hi,
on number 8 i got first errors. The setup_var tool says that the adresses 0x17e,0x17f,0x17d are out of range. Only the adress 0xc4 change Form 0x01 to 0x00.
After that I can not Boot into OS. I can enter the seup menu or the boot menu. If I try to Boot via priviusely created USB key with Shell then I get the Shellpromt but canot enter a command to set the value back to 0x01...

You can easy recover laptop by clear CMOS.Just dettach it for 10-20 sec and attach again.
So i have no idea how bypass 280 protection. So upload bios dump by programmer and i'll modify it.

Hello Da Vinci Code!

i have successfully removed the white list from the current 2.64 BIOS. I use the pached module by BD in my dump and flash the new pached dump via programmer to flash. Cool

After spending some time on google i get: https://www.techinferno.com/index.php?/f...ure-flash/

so i think this could be currently impossible to flash the modified BIOS by stock update application. What do you think?

Any other suggestions to go around these signature thinks?
