Hi everyone,
I recently bought a new wifi card for my Lenovo G510. However, I was unaware that my laptop has a whitelist for wifi cards.
My older card was from Broadcom, VID 14E4, PID 4365. I wanted to change it due to poor performance.
Current situation:
The new card, Intel 7260.HMWBN, is now into the laptop. In order to be able to boot I deactivated wifi from the BIOS. I searched the internet on how I could power up the card from within windows as this seemed to be the simplest solution and found nothing. It might also not be about powering it up, but writing info into the chipset to allow the card to be discovered - so this track is kind of dead to me.
OS: Windows 8.1
My BIOS, Insyde, can be flashed with official versions (example: 79cn46ww.exe) and even downgraded - went from 3.09 to 2.01 and then to 3.05. I can also benefit from the sleep bug found in 3.05 - that's why I kept this version. 2.01 did not have sleep functionality exposed into windows so could not test for sleep bug.
Can anyone help me with a customized BIOS and instructions to flash it?
Here are the links to the rom and results.rar:

results:

Both were taken with the sleep bug activated, with backup_tools12 and universal bios backup
Will v3.05 for the BIOS be permanent if the flashing succeeds, meaning no updates?
Thank you in advance.
