Does anyone know how to change the RPM setting of the fan in bios.
I believe it works in the following way:
There is an octet coded in the bios with each bit being a different fan speed for 8 different speeds in total (incl. 0). The OS controls this through calls to some deeper system (I think it's called ACPI).
I would like to lower the speed of the first few bits. At the moment Fan Speed 1 is far too high and 2 is ridiculous. I would like to make it a smoother curve up to 7.
