[Request] MSI GE72VR 7RF Apache Pro
#1
Got a new laptop this past week and noticed the BIOS is extremely limited in what is shown. Main feature I am interested in is being able to control the graphics card option. I want to be able to enforce the Nvidia card usage and not use the Optimus garbage that never works properly for older games.

Laptop Model: MSI GE72VR 7RF Apache Pro
Current Installed BIOS: E179BIMS.305 (11/20/2016)
Current EC Version: 179BEMS1.1040927201615:19:54

Latest BIOS can be found here:
https://www.msi.com/Laptop/support/GE72V...#down-bios

As of this post, the latest version is: E179BIMS.306

I have looked at the BIOS file within AMIBCP which this version required v5+ (I found a copy of v5.01.0014 online) and everything is marked as Show: Yes, so I am unsure what exactly is supposed to be done to make things show up properly without messing things up. If possible, could someone explain what needs to be edited for future reference? Would like to understand how to edit this properly.

I've tried editing the newest BIOS file via AMIBCP v5.01.0014, however anytime I make any edits and attempt to flash the BIOS it states that the file is the wrong format.
