For the new people trying this:
- The A09mod does work! Thanks again.
- I spend hours to find why i still got error 18 =>I used the flash tool from the AMI website
- The AptioV tool (AFUWINx64) said the version of my bios was to old. I had to use the other tool (The gui said v5.08)
- The Aptio (AFUWINx64) version gave me error 18 => even with /GAN or /AGN. (Gui said V3.07)
- So I downloaded V5.05, and it worked like nothing. I guess it should work with v4 as well.
- I also had a black screen after i tried the GUI. A bios recovery didn't work either .
After all I almost gave up the thing, but at the end i opened the cover and disconnected the battery and bios battery. A few minutes later the laptop came alive again!

Hey,
I have read and followed the tutorial to flash the A09mod.rom to my xps 9530.
I have tried to flash using V5.05 and other versions too and I keep getting the same errors you described.
Could you please let me know how you actually managed to flash the unlocked bios, would greatly appreciate it!
Thanks!

Here you are:
AfuWin64.zip (Size: 3.76 MB / Downloads: 50)
So, normally this are all the files, bios included. I copied the content inside the zip into the root of my windows install en ran it with an elevated command prompt.

Just wanted to confirm that I was successfully able to unlock the BIOS using A09mod.rom /GAN in cmd.
Thank you for uploading the files, greatly appreciated.
Next step is trying to get MacOS & Windows to dual boot ?.

I'm happy i could help!
Yes my next step is to install OSX, but first I have to find some time first :/.
I already got the IMG and i already connected my old Powermac G5* so i can create a bootable USB.
What a sin: Dual G5 with 8gig of memory, almost useless and I have 2 of them :/. Luckily for free.

Haha I'm sure you can still do some basic tasks with the G5's, just very bulky for something a phone is now capable of doing
Btw I have managed to get 10.12.4 Sierra on the ssd (upgraded the 32gb to 256gb) using this guide:
https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/guide...fi.172859/
Only issue I keep facing is that once everything has been patched, OSX simply won't boot. Turning GPU acceleration off and booting from clover efi on usb boots fine but OS is very slow. I'm guessing that 10.11 El Capitan is probably more stable to run so will try to install that next instead of Sierra & hope to get GPU acceleration working. Probably reinstalled sierra at least 7 times now so yeah its definitely a time consuming process.

The only luck I have is that mine already has a 512GB M2 SSD. Besides that, they replaced everything inside except the SSD, coolers, touchpad and bottom plate. Even the display like 4 times, and the touch is still broken)
You can find a lot of info on some sites, including the GPU:

But a few models higher also can help us further.
