Intel DG41WV and Xeon X5450, microcode update
#21

Was this memory problem with 18 version?

with 18 version the problem is fixed, the problem is that the 18 version has 1067A microcode (A0E) and 14 version has (A07) that is why i can upgrade microcode in 14, but in 18 version i cant Sad  because  says i have the lastest version, does exist another version more new than A0E?

and change to
0C 0A 00 00 10 20 28 09 7A 06 01 00 AF E7 07 B0
Copy this PEP.DAT to USB flash with CHECKUP7

Hi there! I'm having issues to add support to this board for the Xeon E5440 with the CHECKUP7 folder provided in the last two posts. I'm also running the 018 BIOS but if I use the application uploaded on post #28 as is then the program runs and it supposedly patches the microcode however, as soon as the system tries to boot from either a Windows 10 64 bit installation USB or from an HDD with the same OS already installed then the PC says that the kernel has been corrupted and just bootloops. If I make the modifications on the PEP.DAT file as suggested on post #26 and replacing the file provided on post #28 with the modded one then the CHECKUP exe fails to inject the microcode and the PC just hangs on a black screen.

I've tried to clear the CMOS and also to apply the Optimized Factory Settings on the BIOS and the PC just doesn't load the OS and it also doesn't allow me to install any OS at all! I don't know if there is a way to make it work...

Thanks in advance!
