How to edit the Lenovo Y-700-15ISK BIOS (and the NVidia GTX 960M VBios)?
#1
Hi dear community,

I am new here ,and I need some help!

I have a Lenovo Y-700-15ISK laptop with i7-6700 HQ CPU,16 GB DDR4 RAM and Nvidia GTX 960 M 4 GB GDDR5 GPU.

Lenovo have set the GPU to throttle when it reaches 67 degrees Celsius, which is pretty annoying!

I have tested this with Valley Benchmark and MSI Kombustor, when the GPU reached maximum 67 degrees it started throttling down!
Same while playing games, when the GPU reaches 67 degrees Celsius,it starts throttling down!

Many users who own this laptop's model have also reported this, here is the proof:

https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Gaming-Lapt...-p/2264799

https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Gaming-Lapt...-p/3301035

I need help to edit my laptop's BIOS,or my GPU'S vBIOS ,in order to change and increase the GPU's throttling temperature from 67 degrees Celsius to a higher value!

Please help me to somehow do that!

Thanks to all in advance!

Best regards!

Hi
Your bios chip is rewrite protected
Bios mod can be flashed using SPI-programmer+SOIC8 clip only
