Can someone send me instructions to prepare my X230?
At the moment I have BIOS Version 2.67 installed. Should I change to some other Version before reading EEPROM?

Hi
Your bios chip is rewrite protected
Bios mod can be flashed using SPI-programmer+SOIC8 clip only

Greetings to all. Looking to see if anyone would be so kind as to modify the bios for my Lenovo x230 v2.67 i5 intel to remove the whitelist. I would like to use aftermarket components like wi-fi and battery. Would also like to upgrade the keyboard to backlit, the hard drive and unlock the memory at some point in the future if possible. Thanks for any assistance provided and have a great day.

Yes, I plan on purchasing these items to re-flash. Can the bios that I submitted be modded and then re-flashed with the SPI-programmer+SOIC8 clip? I've seen the procedure which I plan on following. How would I prepare the copy of the bios that I submitted, or would someone be able to help me out. Thank you.

This is wrong and dangerous path...use SPI-programmer+SOIC8 clip and make damp
