I did a SLIC 2.1 mod on the BIOS for a Biostar N68S+ (not the N68S, very different board). Had to dig out a floppy drive and disk to update it. I fully formatted the disk twice, no errors.
I used the built in BIOS updater and when it was done writing the USB keyboard didn't work so I coudn't hit Enter to accept Y to reset. So I used the power button.
Now it's dead. Black screen. Fans run and that's all. I used the CMOS clear jumper and have removed the battery for a while. No change.
Dos this have a boot block recovery or am I going to have to send the chip off to someone to have it programmed? It's a little 8 pin DIP in a socket. Cute bit of ancient tech sitting on this modern motherboard.
