Vaio SVE14111ELW whitelist removal (progress report)
#1
Hi, guys.

I write because I've been looking at how to remove the white list wlan cards from the vaio sve14111elw notebook, it currently has the latest bios version "R0220E5" (I unzipped the .exe file with winrar perfectly).

This is the list of files that contains the compressed folder attached:

Quote:CHKENV
Ding
InsydeFlash.exe
InsydeFlashx64.exe
iscflash.dll
iscflash.sys
iscflashx64.dll
iscflashx64.sys
platform
R22x64
R0220E5.ROM
Sleepless
WBFLASH (app)
WBFLASH
WBFLASH_SCR

Use the phoenix tool to open the bios downloaded from the page, which currently uses the notebook, the program decrypts the bios in several files, but I do not know what it is that I have to modify because I do not know much about the subject. The only thing I want is to remove the white list of wifi cards because it uses an atheros bgn card, without "ac" and "a" band, (Besides being a bad card because it has many limitations, it is not stable, among other things that can be read)

I ask if they could help me remove it because as I do not know the subject could brick the bios

thanks for your help

After reading and searching for information (how to do it), I found the UEFITool program, more practical and that give me more information than PhoenixTool 256. When I opened the ROM I looked in hexadecimal what would represent to the ID's of the card Wlan atheros that currently has the notebook. According to this page here is the list of ID's compatible with the card:
http://www.driveridentifier.com/scan/ath...S_2C971A3B

When ordering the chain ID's I looked for "8C163200" in the UEFITool, and I found it only once

After extracting it as well

I check with a hex editor and find the string--

Is it okay like this? I remain alert to your suggestions

Thank you
