Hello, rbeltran.
I don't understand about your tests with your laptop and his BIOS, what do you mean?
It seems that some kinds of HP BIOSes are too hard to modify (for free), and as result we receive the silence... :-(
Your HP420 use the same BIOS as my HP620, but in your case, you have one serious trouble: your version F.20 cannot be modified/patched, because she has an RSA protection. You can replace her (downgrade to previous F.0A or older) only by using SPI programmer. If you have one and if you're familiar with soldering, you may download my working dump of version F.0A, which is not RSA protected. But make backup first!!! Theoretically, my version can be modified. :-)
Yes, all other filenames that you wrote are BIOSes for our laptops. I had try to search for these filenames, but foung nothing, except two last, that are newest ones.
My idea how to resolve this problem - buy a Wi-Fi module from other non-working and disassembled HP620 for sale through one of Internet auction sites.
Sorry for my english too. :-)
Thanks for your answer.
