GIGABYTE GA-880GM-UD2H FX8100 Support?
#21
AGESACPU.ROM & NCPUCODE.BIN (microcode inside) are only for AM3 CPUs.
AGESA00.B1 & AGESA10.B2 (microcode inside) are for AM3+ CPUs.

I really wish you could cast your spell on my BIOS & make the FX 8100 Support... I know you can do it haha this is so nuts that this is the first time of unsuccessful mod Sad

So do you not know how to mod AGESA00.B1 & .B2?

If we can learn how it would be an amazing learning experience. I feel like what we are doing isn't possible unless we were a Gigabyte Engineer to mod the BIOS with updated Micrcode. It seems simple?

Literally 4 more threads than my current 4 core cpu would be of great benefit as this is for kids to play Call Of Duty at higher than xbox one or up to xbox one x & better than ps4 pro just to show off a little bro, ya know? It's fun & it would unreal knowing its running a cpu said to never work ever...

Your BIOS chip hasn't enough free space for new AGESA modules.

May we save space by deleting old cpu code module's for cpu's we won't ever use? I have AMD Athlon II & Opteron 1389 that work on the board. So those two microcode alone with no others, only the fx8100 hex string & Opteron 1389 & AMD Athlon II ...
Only 3 total microcode's exist in the microcode AGESA making the AGESA.bin smaller & squeeze it on in the BIOS should work?

Do you use Phoenix Bios Editor? I used to use that for modding laptop vga bios mods for nvidia 6150se laptop opened the .rom in nibitor and modded the default clocks in the firmware so it made it a lot faster. I remember having to recompile using your various configuration files which would actually say if it would work or not because I think Phoenix BIOS Editor can also correct the checksum or make sure it's edited perfectly as to pass the Phoenix BIOS Editor validation sequence at the end of modding adding various features is pretty neat... Might even have the microcode modder in the main gpu page of the Phoenix BIOS Editor right?

The FX8100 gets real hot like it's going to work & then doesn't... I feel this is so close to getting working... Add the micro code & flash & fx 8100 successful post Big Grin

I repeat: old microcode has only 14K size plus free space 170.43K, but new modules in FA BIOS require 809.94K.
You can't add support AM3+ CPUs without BIOS chip's replacement.
BTW: It's Award BIOS, not Phoenix

May you suggest where I can find someone who can dissect the cpu microcode, add fx8100 cpu id & reduce it to proper size?

I need a BIOS modification to support the FX6300 processor
