ASUS RAMPAGE III EXTREME BIOS - V1601 - Updated OROM MOD
#81
Thats very great News.

I am going to drop the non-TRIM support in then next release.   It does not hurt anything to have the feature there.  It does not disable any other feature, but just adds TRIM under RAID.  TRIM is already supported in Non-RAID.

I am not sure what to do about the Jmicron version and patch.  There is some worry that v1.08 was pulled for some bug.  This is unconfirmed.  I have never received any feedback on v1.08 functionality/compatibility myself.  And, I never used the Jmicron port before yesterday myself and it is on the patched v1.07.

Ok, I just decided.  I will just roll back to v1.07 and use the AHCI patched version for better compatibility.   If ppl want Jmicron with v1.08 (unpatched).   I will need feedback and an explained request.  (I am leaning toward not trusting v1.08 until I hear differently.)
EDIT: After more digging, I found that v1.08 added support for UEFI and was not a fix of any kind.  So v1.07 is still the best for our boards.

That narrows down my work to creating and testing:
S19_Final (Best choice for Win10 users that use RAID on Intel SATA ports)
CPU Microcode Updated
Intel ICH10R SATA RAID Controller: v13.5.0.2164
Marvell 91xx SATA 6G Controller - Bios : v1.0.0.1038
JMicron JMB36X Controller: v1.07.28  (AHCI Patched)
Intel 82567V-2 Gigabit Network: v1.5.85

S19i_Final (Best choice for Non-Win10 users Or Win10 with NO Intel RAID)
CPU Microcode Updated
Intel ICH10R SATA RAID Controller:  ->  v11.2.0.1527
Marvell 91xx SATA 6G Controller - Bios : v1.0.0.1038
JMicron JMB36X Controller: v1.07.28  (AHCI Patched)
Intel 82567V-2 Gigabit Network:  v1.5.85

S19t_Final (For those who need onboard NIC and EVERY SATA port)
CPU Microcode Updated
Intel ICH10R SATA RAID Controller:  -> v10.1.0.1008
Marvell 91xx SATA 6G Controller - Bios : v1.0.0.1038
JMicron JMB36X Controller: v1.07.28  (AHCI Patched)
Intel 82567V-2 Gigabit Network: v1.5.85

EDIT: Created in OP. I did quick tests, but all worked. Let me know if anyone finds any problems.

On a side note:  I have a nice Koolance waterblock for the R3E that I will not be using any longer.  If anyone is interested, PM me.  It will need new thermal pads, which will run about $25.  Aside from that its in great condition.

So I've updated my bios a week ago to S19i_Final and it is stable on i-7 920 (4.2 Ghz) and raid0 on Mervel controller.
Thank you for your work!

I too am running S19i and it's stable with my W3680 Xeon.
I tested each of them quickly, but then flash this. I am on win10 with no raid (test os). my future os will be *nix based.

I too am running s19_final and it's stable with  W3680 Xeon & 2GB (2000MHz)* 3.

Test pass, no problem. I am used win10x64 ver.1709 with raid 0 (2 disk x 1,5 TB, SATA 2 - 4-5 ports)

But new ODD start with error from BIOS mode, ASUS BC-12D2HT (work good from win10)

Did you test TRIM on the RAID-0?
If that passes, we know S19 and S19i are good for HDD setups.

What is this about ODD error?  I have not used ODD on my rebuilt system.  (OS was installed from USB stick.)
We know you have mode to RAID, but what is your boot order also? Post a screen shot of the error if possible.

What On-board devices are enabled/disabled?

Those are the two likely culprits for bootup issues.
