Hello there!
In short:
I need to add vBIOS ROM module of HD6470m (Seymour) into R540's BIOS.
What I did:
I replaced old video chip HD5470M (Park 216-0774009) to a newer one HD6470M (Seymour 216-0809024).
In theory, both these video chips are interchangeable if we have corresponding video module in BIOS. For example, Lenovo G565 can be upgraged to HD6470 (or re-branded HD7400) if we replace original 216-0774009 to 216-0809024 and flash the BIOS from Lenovo Z565.
This Samsung laptop's BIOS modules can be extracted with PhoenixTool, and we can find the module which contains a bunch of different video modules. This module is called A062CF1F-8473-4AA3-8793-600BC4FFE9A8_509.ROM. But I can't unpack it or add any module in a simple way, it requires hex editing, where I can't do well.
I attached in the archive:
1. Original BIOS dump of Samsung R540 (03KP)
2. Video BIOS of HD6470M (Seymour) from Lenovo Z565
3. Original BIOS from Samsung RV513 which also contains Video Bios of HD6470M (Seymour)
Can anyone help me?
