[Request] Acer Aspire One 751h Bios Unlock
#11
Sad
Hi, I'm Marco, I'm from Italy and I try to take the best from my old netbook.
My problem is a change of performance from AC supply to Battery supply even if I set the Windows Performance in : Always active. (Only option that set Core VID: 1.100 volt , other option set Core VID: 0,813 volt).
In details, when I put the AC supply , fan start and run till I take out the AC supply. And for example, in You Tube video playing , even if I overclock Atom z520 to 1555.1 Mhz , still lag if run with battery and doesn't lag if I put AC supply, at the same clock. Another one strange thing is that even if brightness is 100%, when I unplug the AC there's a very little bright change to minor brightness... fan stop run (and run only when strictly necessary for a little time) and video start to lag.
I think that's the ACPI control of Windows that manage the power AC control and set instruction like Enhanced Halt State and Intel SpeedStep Technology. I try to uninstall the ACPI drivers but Windows re-install all of the drivers automatically.
Finally I think I may unlock advanced bios to manage ACPI power control directly from it .. but now I not understand how can I unlock the bios. It's possible to disable these services without mod bios? Can windows 7 make difference to manage ACPI profile?(now I have xp sp3 that's more light than win7).
And please, can anyone mod the original bios? There's any possibilities? Huh
Original bios: http://drivers.softpedia.com/get/BIOS/Ac...3212.shtml
Only for my curiosity.. There's a trick to make my pc believe that's AC supplying even if it use the battery?
Sorry for my poor english , I hope that you could give me an advice . Bye Marco.

Ps: I attached a diagnosis photos of AIDA64engineer benchmark software If this could help. Exclamation

Hi guys, it's now 4 years later since the other thread had any update, so figure it might be an idea to make a new thread.

I'm sitting with an AO751h-52Bk ZA3(my friends) that got severely screwed up(I'm guessing ACER update did a failed bios update or something else(it has been reported not to work correctly in windows)), it worked last time my friend had it out for a spin a year ago, but now it don't detect HDD in bios and comes up with "operating system not found". I have had allot of trouble trying to figure a solution for this and actually managed to get myself in the "Black screen of death" situation.

I put this here as many go here to find a solution to this excact problem:

This is how you get yourself out of the "Black screen of death" and flash your bios from Dos.

https://www.laptop-forums.com/threads/so...ios.27063/

Now to my questions:

Can this bios be modified to show all hidden features like: AHCI/SATA, Video ram, Video shadow, Cpu throtling, Speedstep, Power management, remove white list, and more?

Bios file 3212 here: https://goo.gl/uhpYEj

Can the file be made as an .EXE file just like the one in the Dos folder or can it only be made as .WPH? If the last, what is then the update procedure?

Hope someone can answer this, and maybe make the mod - I'm hoping this can solve the HDD problem so I can get win7 installed.

Thank you in advance

JBJ
PS. Packard Bell Dot m ZA3 is the same machine as the Acer, it just have other modifications.

Good morning community, ma name is Paul, I have a question, but first excuse me for my bad english
My question is:
I have an Aspire One 751h acer with a 1.33 Mhz 2 Gb ram ZA3 processor and 160 GB Hard disk, INTEL Gma 500 video card, I wanted to make it usable and I tried to do an Overclock with SETFSB but inserting the Pll code seen on the 9LPRS365BKL motherboard the program gives me error, trying with Clock gen same thing; my NetBook has a Phoenix bios 3212, limited to the basic functions. Since the CPU Overclock I would also like to do the GPU, and put a Ssd hard disk: an upgrade! I would like to know if kindly some of you have the patience and the desire to help me to give life to this Netbook. Thank you in advance and I am waiting for an answer, good day to all, Thanks

Hi~~friend!
I think your AO751h laptop should can't overclock , it was  designed a low power consume laptop ,but i think it maybe has some hidden menus ,so i spend some times to modified it.

I download from below link ,please confirm it's correct model for your laptop.
https://www.acer.com/ac/zh/TW/content/su...t/1112?b=1

Here is my mod download link.
https://drive.google.com/open?id=19XYstx...rW0j8UbsfQ

I unlock some sections ,below emulate screen was before modified and after from Phoenix bios editor .

after

Due to there are some limits for modify ,so i hidden "Security" tab then replace it to "Intel" tab, i think "Security" tab  wasn't necessary for most people ,so i hidden it.

"Intel" tab like a factory mode , althought thare are many sections of it but most of them should be invalid i think   ,like your laptop's processor is atom z520 , so it only valid with "Silverthorne CPU Control".

Good luck.
