Some HorseRider's senseless requests

(02-09-2018, 01:14 AM)HorseRider Wrote: Probably another dumb question, but my HP EliteBook 8540p has an OEM HP UEFI BIOS. Are there any methods to add things like BCLK overclocking?

I found the PLL that this laptop uses. Apparently, according to the schematics, Clarksfield quad core CPUs are supported

The PLL model is ICS9LPRS397. Gonna try SetFSB.

Is it possible to add FSB clock to BIOS? Since in Windows it is reset on reboot...

Not enough space?

Probably silly, but are there microcodes/mods for the i7 820 that allow all 4 cores at highest multiplier? Chipset is QM57.

Maybe someone can help with SetFSB? it worked on X58 with ML350 G6, see image

i7-820QM doesn't support programmable ratio limits for turbo mode.

No method to force in microcodes like i7 4700QM? All-core multi for i7 820QM is only 15, but single core CPU ratio is around 23? Where is the logic?

Do you still need AsRock H77M microcodes updated, or downgraded? I know it's late, but I just read your first request Big Grin
I can do these for this board.

Does this PLL work also with hp elitebook 8440p? It is the same generation, just a bit smaller than this laptop, also with quad core clarksfield.
