BIOS_WP = BIOS Write Protect. So that is stopping writing to BIOS, if there is a jumper on there. Is there a jumper on the pins? Do you see new options in the BIOS or not?

Thanks! I'm glad you were able to finally get some tool to work! Check the BIOS and see if you see the new options or not, if not, then remove the jumper if there is one, if there is not and still no new BIOS options don't worry we'll figure out proper flash method.

Yes. I see new options now. There are options for adjusting the fsb, cpu fan speed, voltage, and anything of the like. Hmm.. if that is stopping then by shorting it, would it let us then to operate from dos?

Nothing need to be done now, since you see new BIOS options then BIOS update went through OK like it looked!

How about the Health section, can you see voltages and temps, do they look correct or close? If none of that works for you, we can hide it again if you want, that way it's not there being useless.
Same for fan speeds, can they actually be controlled, if you set high or low and save/exit, do the fan speeds change?

Yes. Voltages and temps are accurate. I won't be touching that since I only know best to touch the FSB. These things are good. Fan speeds, yes. They can be controlled too. Changes are applied as they are saved. Right now I have my processor on 2.69 GHz from 2.5. I'm seeing a faster environment around my desktop now. Thank you again! I was just wondering regarding mods. Is it possible to add a MIT section? (Master Intelligent Tweaker)

MIT is a Gigabyte BIOS thing, it's just what they name a section of the BIOS, could be named anything else if you wanted. I've enabled almost all settings available in your BIOS, there was only maybe 4-6 more I left hidden because I doubted you'd need or want them (Skip BIOS, serial port 2 address and mode, CMOB Port duplex mode, RUN VGABIOS on S3 Resume)

I forgot to ask! Check microcode again now in HWInfo64 and see if it shows version 12 now

Learned all from doing BIOS mods for years. See my edit above about microcode version, I think we wrote replies at the same time Smile

If it still shows 610, then win10 must think it's best/newest one?

Good, that is correct, 612 is version I put in BIOS. See image in post #18 tshowing the microcodes, on the left is your original BIOS with no microcode for your CPU (10676) nor any 610 version microcode for any of the CPUID's, and then on right is the all new updated microcodes all latest versions, see 10676 added at bottom and it's version 612
