Must be someone set all these to user and then left them even not working, and then all that same BIOS gets passed around like it's default.
I assume already modified since so many changes, and expected you guys could see all that.

Just tried CrystalCPUID where you can set the "Intel Enhanced SpeedStep" and the multiplier can be set lower than 10x no problem, but NOT any higher. I did a little bit of research on this subject, there's tons of info on this.
The only other alternative is to speed up the FSB from 333MHz to something higher. The Intel G33 chipset doesn't like it, the screen freezes when I up it a little bit.
IPIBL-LB is a cheap board, you get what you pay for. It can be unlocked to support RAID 0, 1 and 5. Do a 771 to 775 mod, plug in a decent speed Xeon and voila. Case closed !
Happy Holidays
I have heard about using software to modify the fsb clock, but i donwloaded a couple different, that i had read did it with this mobo, but none of them had the proper clock generator, do you any guys have the right one for this board although u don't use it?????
i've bought a second hand Radeon HD7850 which i want to overclock in results HD7870 (about +25% which is sure working), and for some games the cpu will bottleneck the GPU, so higher frequency of the CPU would be better.

Look up this chipset and SetFSB clockgen and you should find some people saying the clockgen they use.
If not, trial and error will get you there But be ready for crashes while you try to find it, don't keep open files not saved.

" overclocked my HP Pavilion a6814y w/ IPIBL-LB Benicia mobo and Intel Pentium E5200 running at 2.5 ghz factory to 3.2 ghz. 252 Mhz FSB and 400 Mhz DDR2 Ram to 504 Mhz (Memset timers, 6-8-8-8-24) DRAM, seems stable. Of course the BIOS are locked with no options for OC whatsoever. Used ClockGen PLL IDT CV174C (ignore PCI-e) set to 252 Mhz FSB at startup. CPU-Z, Core Temp or CPU Thermometer(don't use speed fan, inaccurate). Use Crystal CPUID to set the multiplier and volts on the fly."
I saw this comment on the net, but on none version of softfsb or clockgen that i'm able to find it's PLL IDT CV174C, that's why i asked here as i already tried all versions, maybe some mate will have the right one, is like anybody has deleted the version i need from internet hehehe

I grabbed random version in my folder (setfsb_2_2_134_98), and see CV174CPAG, that's probably the correct one to use
I see this in the info file too CV174CPAG (Intel DG965LV/DQ965GF/DG965RY/DG965WH/DP965LT)
I downloaded the latest 2.3.178.134 and I see same, but it's weird version talking about paying 800 Yen for the setFSB button to work! WTH!
Here is copy of 2_2_134_98

Found this thread via google search thinking it'd be dead but so glad you guys have kept it alive
Anyway, I see that both Enyel and Antidot are running 120w cpus on this motherboard. I happen to have the same IPIB-LB inside an old hp desktop which I'd like to revive. Now, instead of ordering a cpu and waiting weeks for it to arrive...I've found a local guy selling an x5472 . I know its base is lower than the x5470's you guys have but according to intel they have similar tdp of 120.
So I was wondering if you guys are having any heat related issues running these on this specific mobo. And huge thanks to Lost_N_bios for the update...will be using that one for sure!

So I was comparing the x5470 and the x5472 and noticed the latter has a higher bus speed of 1600mhz. Will this be compatible with the specs on this mobo https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c01324212
says FSBS 800/1066/1333 MHz....
Would appreciate any advice...

Mine is HP A6641ES, i have not been able to overcclock although finally due to our mates i managed get a proper setfsb app, however only reaching 3,4ghz that doesn't make any sense for me...
X5472 is lower speed and bus is 1600 as you said, so NO compatible with your motherboard, or if working it will work at less speed as in your board only will reach 1333mhz bus
do not buy x5472 for our board, the wait it worths

Thanks for the reply!
I'm reconsidering putting a xeon in this altogether since I don't feel too confident about how much this old board can handle. I'm looking at a e8400 for safety reasons mostly and since I don't plan on doing any heavy gaming on this. Some guy is selling one locally for $15 maybe I can get it for $10.
