H-Alpinia-RS780L-uATX bios update?/unlock
#31
First, try all that say windows/win or GUI, see if any open for you, and if yes, click "Save" and see if you can save BIOS. If you can, that version can probably flash BIOS too (The one I sent you) If yes, you find one that will backup BIOS, then press file and give it the BIOS I sent you, then check box "Program Main", "Program Boot Block" and "Program all non-critical blocks and ROM Holes"

If none work for you, probably not likely the command line ones will work either, but you can try.

Command to flash is above in post #25
Here is command to make backup >> AFU.exe backup.bin /O

In all instances, above and post #25, change AFU.exe to match one you are currently trying

When you select the file to flash, you have to select the modified one I sent you. MC Extractor cannot check BIOS on the board, only files you drop into it.

Open program, choose file to flash, click options you want, then flash. You are not selecting the file you saved (Backup), you select the new modified BIOS I sent you, then flash it.

To check your current in use microcode you can look with HWINFO64
https://www.hwinfo.com/

To check look there before flash, and then after flashing and rebooting and loading optimal defaults

It's OK about the grayed out box for now.

Then flash is not occurring, try other version until you find another compatible one.. Or maybe, it's the options not being checked, please show me image of which you check and so I can see which you cannot check.

And, show me image of the folder you are using the program from, so I can see what version it is and all other files in that folder, maybe command line one would work better than GUI one.
