Hi, I am new here...
I have the HP G62-a60EC and i tried to install new wifi module - but I can't cause of the wifi white-list.
notebooks serial: 4CZ02900XS
its product name: WQ289EA#AKB
Original wifi/BT installed was Ralink RT3090BC4 V20A
VEN: 1814 DEV: 3090
I am trying to install Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 (if I install it after BIOS check - then its working)
the original bioses from HP:
sp55428 - F.2A from 6. 12. 2011
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp55001-5...p55428.exe
sp55657 - F.2B from 6.1.2012
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp55501-5...p55657.exe
I can't find Andy's tool anywhere, so I can't check if the BIOS is RSA signed, but the notebook is from 2010 - so I hope not to be RSA signed.
But if the semibrick can be repaired again by flashing original BIOS, it's not a problem then, is it?
