Please help me! I have a ASUS UX501JW notebook, and I would like bios with SSD NVME support (Western Digital Black 256GB M.2 PCIe Gen3 x4). The bios update didn't help. Currently the newest bios is on it: https://www.asus.com/us/Laptops/ASUS-Zen...Desk_BIOS/ Only willing to boot from pendrive boot and install windows, the OP system sees the SSD, and GPT partition is working fine, installing, copying and after the first reboot, system not found.
Thanks. Best Regards, Tamas

Why is BIOS download for N501JW? I can make you NVME ready mod BIOS
Please check your Main BIOS page and see if you can find ME FW version, if not download HWINFO64 and on the large window on left, expand motherboard and see if there is ME section, if yes find ME Firmware version. Then let me know, this is needed to reflash mod BIOS, and there will be a dance required to get a mod BIOS flashed in there. If no ME or system is AMD based, the dance becomes harder

No, check in windows with HWINFO64, BIOS only shows EC and BIOS version, nothing there for ME.
You may need to install Intel Management Engine drivers first from Asus page, if not already installed. I checked Win8 and Win10 page at Asus, Intel ME driver is in "Others" section of drivers.
Close that small window, and on the large window behind it, go into the motherboard section, expand that, find ME subsection and the find ME Firmware version.

Thanks, I see why we don't find ME, sorry you were looking and never see it and probably got mad
I think ME driver not installed, so it's not showing up. Please download and install Chipset and ME drivers from Asus https://www.asus.com/us/Laptops/ASUS-Zen..._Download/
Chipset driver is it's own section, ME (Intel Management Engine Interface) driver is in the "Others" section.
Then reboot and check again with HWINFO64
Or, you can try this, but this may also need the drivers installed first, unsure.
This is Intel security check tool, ME version will be shown at bottom of report http://s000.tinyupload.com/index.php?fil...3235569444
That not easy, when I boot 16GB usb pen drive with hiren's boot MiniPE (install any program, that fail), and now a USB external SSD hard drive, installed win10 sw. The management Engine interface doesn't support this OS, but thunderbolt installed. And now this platform running the GET ME, but version is unknown : Attached picture.
