Asus P8Z68-V PRO/GEN3 BIOS 3703 with all OROMS/LAN/VGA updated

No, It's the same. I just integrated the EFI drivers, but they don't work. PC boots up normally in EFI Compatible ROM mode without any EFI drivers (like in original BIOS), when I pulling out my GTX 1080 Ti. With GTX 1080 Ti I see BIOS logo (or black screen, if logo is disabled), than PC do an error beep every 30 sec.

My GTX 1080 Ti have the latest UEFI GOP driver (3000E), but PC still won't boot in EFI Compatible ROM mode.

Corsair Graphite Series 600TWM + Noctua NF-P12 PWM + Noctua NF-A20 PWM + 850W Seasonic X850 Gold

From what I saw, in the previous capture of the integrated drivers that the bios has, it only carries the Intel onboard gop drivers...

With it it works correctly if it is started in compatible Efi, if it is selected in the configuration of the graphic onboards or by car with the graphic disconnected from the Pcie.

Then it makes me understand that this bios does work with the integrated one and carries the necessary gop for the intel...
Would it be possible, that it was necessary to have an exclusive gop driver integrated for both Nvidia and AMD?

Perhaps this is what is failing when trying to boot the system, since it does not have a driver for Nvidia/Amd and it changes if it does for Intel.

Good evening, I'm Victor (write you from Portugal), currently I'm the happier owner of one Asus P8Z68-V LX, but for my bad luck I cannot boot with my new M.2 previously connected to an PCIe adapter. I'm able to use the M.2 for storage, also I'm able to install the SO in the M.2 but not to boot it.

Do you know where I can find the need it firmware to update the Bios to fix this issue?

Thank you in advance.

But a card without a GOP header will boot.  Thanks ASUS!

Why is the graphics (and all PCIe) system listing as PCIe 2.0 instead of 3.0 ???

Both GPUz and HWINFO64 display this. Chipset driver error? I'm on 10.1.1.45

Its PCIe 2.0 because you are using Sandy Bridge CPU, you need Ivy Bridge CPU to get PCIe 3.0

Btw I too need a modded BIOS for Asus P8Z68 pro v/gen3, for EFI compatible ROM, i used it from previous posts here, got Black Screen WITH GPU power on I have MSI Armor OC 8GB, but when i turned it off and use the integrated graphics it worked... so maybe we need to modify the BIOS on the GPU instead of the MB...
I`m no expert of modding, ts just an idea...

Thanks, didn't know that.

Glad you liked the EFI version, even though it doesn't work.  I wish I had also asked RaYMaN for the EFI UNDI LAN driver just for completeness sake, but I felt guilty asking for more and he's done so much already.

I suspect the reason the internal iGPU works with EFI BOOT enabled is because ASUS specifically tested that functionality and NOT discrete graphics cards.  Pretty sure it's a main bios bug.  I've updated my GPU bios AND installed the newest GOP header on my card, with GOPUpd + NVFlash, and it doesn't help this issue....doesn't hurt it either.

I suspect the problem with EFI boot sequence might be the Sandy Bridge CPU, because the full UEFI bios as new feature was meant for the new CPU type at the time Ivy bridge. I think it could work with Ivy bridge cpu, someone with that cpu should test this theory

It doesn't work, I have an i7 3770K and still have a nice black screen.

My theory is that the bios needs a gop driver for pci-e ... since when reviewing the integrated drivers in the bios, it includes one but exclusive for the integrated Intel HD, but there is not one for dedicated graphics and the intel does not it helps us, that's why by deactivating the gpu pci-e it works.

One option would be to see if the P8Z77-V PRO carries it or an equivalent Z87, since I think that if it has full Uefi bios and if so integrate the gop pci-e driver into our bios and cross your fingers.

I guess this won't work for the non-GEN3 model?
