Dear All
I bought a used Acer Aspire E1-431 which run on Insyde H20 BIOS. BIOS is locked with password or default password. Not sure. After hours of searching I found a way to change one bit of platform.ini configuration (Password=0 to Password=1) and flash BIOS to reset the password but the password did not go away. After hours of searching I realize that inside BIOS file itself contain built-in configuration same as platform.ini so I used Hex Editor to change one bit in BIOS file (Password=0 to Password=1) and flash it again. The computer restart and a message appear "InsydeH20 Secure Boot Error: Invalid firmware image". I don't get it how BIOS detect modified firmware file. How do I workaround this issue? I can't even boot from CD-ROM Drive. Any suggestion?
