How to find BIOS chip on Thinkpad S1 Yoga?
#1
Copying from r/thinkpad

Lenovo Thinkpad S1 Yoga 20C (i5 4210U, 8GB RAM)

I would like to remove the WiFi whitelist and have almost everything. The wifi card, CH341A, SOIC8 and motherboard out. But which is the UEFI chip? I can see 2 identical ones (this thing does not have dual UEFI, right?) and a few others that fit the size of the test clip.

I can see 2 chips, one with oh32-104hip and one oh64-104hip

There is a similarly sized chip with MDS1521.

Sorry for crappy images, my Poco F1 doesn't handle zooming very well.

Yes, those areĀ oh64-104hip and oh32-104hip.

So from which one should I read the BIOS (and write the modified one, after all that happens) to?

I was asking for help, but after trying all day I managed to read the BIOS ROMs using a raspi + SOIC clip and flashrom.
I was wrongly trying to dump the U11 chip that's a NXP P24S08A.

I need to null the Seucrity password on the Security chip (I believe the P24S08A) (after the supervisor password was entered wrong too many times. I bought my Notebook of eBay 2nd hand, and I sadly had to find out that it had a Supervisor Password set).
