[Request] Samsung NP350v5c i7 3630qm ---> 3840qm

I own a Samsung NP350v5c with i7 3630qm installed.

I tryed to mount a i7 3840qm (same TDP and socket). The notebook starts, leds etc but a black screen is shown. CPU should work.

Last bios installed (see attachment). Can't see bios changelog ([censored] Samsung) so I don't know if the cpu is supported or not.

Can you see from the bios if it's compatible?

Post a screenshot of third (Mainboard) tab of CPU-Z.

I don't have another compatible laptop to try, but in few days I can try another working CPU (3820qm) that is similar to 3840qm.

Try this algorithm:
1) remove AC jack, Main Battery, and CMOS Battery
2) remove HDD and all SODIMMs
3) install new CPU
4) wait 10 minutes
5) press and hold power button for 30 sec.
6) install CMOS Battery and one SODIMM only, inject AC jack (without Main Battery!)
7) try to boot your laptop.

Just tryed. I had to unsolder the battery because it wasn't rebovable, but nothing changed. Power led on, fan start spinning then stops (but the same with the 3630qm), black screen, no Samsung logo, no bios.

Try to update ME to 8.1.70.1590 by FWUpdate from Intel ME System Tools v8.
After update you must to turn off (not reboot) laptop, disconnect AC jack and remove Main Battery.
Wait for 10 minutes, then install Main Battery, connect AC jack and turn on.
I need new results of MEInfo.
