This laptop is based on GL960 chipset. It support 1GB maximum in first SODIMM.

I tried to update another pc this that still had the bios version 1.6. However after the reboot it still showed v1.6.
Here is a video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jBL3z4tuFNA
Did anyone have the same issue?

Run it with administrative rights.

Thank you, but it isn't working. Is it because I am using vista sp3?

I don't know. Try Windows XP or Windows 7

xp didn't work. This .exe was made for vista but the date seems to be before sp2. Let's see if it works now.

If you already have BIOS 5.50, then how to flash the modified BIOS 2.0? The command line says Fail to initialize WinIo .
The T8300 is seen at half frequency 1.2 Ghz on 5.50 BIOS.
It's Windows 7 x64, I run the command line as administrator.
Perhaps I'm using the wrong flasher, because... from the Toshiba website via the link on the previous page is not available.
Can you post it somewhere?
