Acer 5750zg (je50_hr/hm65) vs intel i7 2960xm

Hello! I want to upgrade cpu on my old acer aspire 5750zg, hm65 chipset, currently works with intel pentium b950. I found information and confirmation that fastest cpu for this notebook can be intel i7 2960xm but it can operate only on 2.7 gHz with latest acer stock bios. Can anyone confirm is it possible to use turbo boost and unleash full power of this cpu with akbar's moded 1.21 bios or if anyone can share anything else that might work?

Post a screenshot third (Mainboard) tab of CPU-Z.
Make a photo of laptop's motherboard near a socket.
Describe in details what happens when you tried to boot with i7-2960XM.

i7-2960XM works and can boot but operate only on 2.7 GHz without turbo frequency 3700 MHz (1 core), 3600 MHz (2 cores), 3500 MHz (3 or 4 cores) when using acer stock bios so it is not possible to use all power of cpu.

Go to ThrottleStop's folder and delete file ThrottleStop.ini and run ThrottleStop.
Make a screenshot of ThrottleStop (main window) with running TS Bench.
And I still need a photo of laptop's motherboard near a socket.

Sorry, actually it works with acer latest bios version 1.21. CPU is at my friend's notebook but he is not an expert for testing. He using it as is and he thought that the problem was due to stock bios. Big Grin I borrowed a notebook from him today for more detailed testing and I concluded that the problem was semi clogged heatsink which caused overheating. After cleaning the heatsink, turbo is working and it is ~3.2 GHz when stress test utilize all threads. Although this cpu works, I don't think it's the best choice for 5750zg. The problem is that the stock heatsink is not good enough to keep it cool except maybe if you completely remove upper covers and keyboard. Rolleyes  So at the end I think I will buy for myself an i7 2860qm. It is 45w cpu, operate at 2.5 GHz, 8mb cache with turbo boost probably up to real 3 GHz and it is currently quite cheaper than i7 2960xm.
