Request for Asus x102ba bios mod
#1
Heart
Need a kind soul who know how to unlock Asus BiosĀ
I tried all tips and tricks but not being able to unlock mine, I used AMIBCP 4.53, but when opening the backup rom it says 'setup information not found'. I tried to unlock using original rom (.219) but Austek does not let me update it.
Any help will be highly appreciated !

Attached Files
.zip   BACKUPX1.ROM.zip (Size: 1.67 MB / Downloads: 2)

Try open bios with other version amibcp.

You should consider how to re-flash mod ,cuz it's a amd platform.

I tried to open the backup rom attached in thread, with this AMIBCP 4.55, but it still says that it could not find the setup information....
The .219 is the original rom from ASUS, but after changing it it does not let me flash with the AsusTek Bios tool...

Do you have any clue how I can change the rom and flash it back to laptop ?

Your dump bios was broken , you can do dump again and testing with amibcp.

AMD platform didn't like intel platform has fpt(flash programming tool) or other tool package can edit or flash ,so only you can use is AMI afu tool ,but it usually meet secure protect and not always reliable.(some older version afu tool has hiden parameter gan to force flashing ,you could try search key word " afu /gan" in internet ,you could find some information about it. )
Or maybe you could try to find other tool.

As i said ,you should consider how re-flash mod ,edit menu is easy ,the point is re-flash mod.

Incredibly anytime I try to dump AMI Bios it is 4096kb, but the original rom .219 file is 4098kb.... AMIBCP do not edit file... it always say it can not find Setup Info, I ried all versions, is there anything else I can use ? Do you have a link to a AFUDOS version that could do a good AMI dump ? And that I can use to flash it ?

because of the dump bios was broken so you can't normal open it with amibcp ,maybe it's physical damage in bios chip ,so you always got an error data.
