[REQUEST] BIOS unlocked HP DV7-5000er
#11
checked.
no, nothing has changed. Intel did not appear in the device manager. there is still only one AMD radeon HD graphics card.
Probably nothing can be done with this laptop. I will not torment you anymore, thank you very much for your time and participation!
when I'm completely tired of the fan noise, I'll remove a few unnecessary parts with a soldering iron Smile))

Thank you very much for your participation!
if it's not difficult, can you give an instruction with what program "parsed" the bios image (phoenix tool?), how did you look at the settings (perl?) and how did you put it back together?
just when looking at the ROM file I see UTF-16 lines:
Select the size of DVMT 5.0 that the Internal Graphics Device will use Primary Display Primary Display IGFX PEG PCI Special Features Enable Switch Graphic

Did I understand correctly that I need to fix 0x27 to 0x28 in cell 0x9DB40 in order to open the "Primary Display" tab?

though I'm not quite sure that after that the "debug" tab will open ...

No. First of all you need to open debug tab. Who knows how to do this... I did not practising it at all because I have not ever had any old laptop with UEFI to experiment.

Please, check SetupUtility from mod.

I don't know. No description

This is something related to the work of the processor: entering / exiting throttling. Or maybe the state of other devices. This setting does not open any tab, as it can exist in bios without it.

sorry! I realized my mistake, I was considering a BIOS that was not modified, and in your modification everything has already been fixed.
but I found the following:
0x12E50 Selectable: Video Configuration, Form ID: 0x25 {0F 0B 25 00 80 01 81 01 00 00 00}
and it's in the bookmark
0x12E1A Form: Advanced, Form ID: 0x1 {01 06 01 00 78 01}
those. somewhere there should be such a tab and there are many interesting settings. now I'm trying to figure out how to turn it on.
and all in 0x11F56 Form Set: System Configuration

I saw the H2OUVE program on the screenshot and tried to figure it out. and could not figure out how to make an FD image, as far as I understood it needs to be pulled out of the bios image.
but I found an opportunity to edit variables in windows there. loaded data from rom, chose SETUP, changed cell 0x18F to 0, saved. overloaded the computer, the value as it was 1, and remained equal to 1.
