[Request] EVOO Gaming 15 (EG-LP5-BK) BIOS Unlock Request
#1
Hello, I am the owner of an EVOO 15 Gaming laptop that has a i7-9750H and a GTX 1660ti, I'd requesting an unlocked BIOS so that I can enable ASPM as I found out from a forum that it's turned off for some reason by the manufacturer which causes the CPU to idle at 10W+ at all times, killing battery life, I'd like for my BIOS to be unlocked so I can enable this setting amongst others, I will pay if required, thank you! :^)

@J4D
There some questions to ask you.

1. Which tool do you used to backup bios?

2.Could you use this tool to re-flash the dump bios again?

3.If it can ,please do a test. Edit the dump anythings via amibcp then save and re-flash again. Tell me the result.

I used the CSME system tools I found online, more specifically the FTPW tool and then I opened up a command prompt with administrator and dumped the bios using that.

2. As far as I can tell flashing new BIOSes works using the tools as well.

3. I used AMIBCP to edit BIOS settings, dump the edited ROM file, and changed it to a BIN file then flashed using the tool, but I didn't notice any changes in Windows, what I edited was the ASPM power state setting and I also enabled C8 states, to no effect in windows, so I think I did something wrong.

Here is a mod for menu unlock ,it only for your machine.
Try it then respond the result to me.

Good news!
I can do for you is unlock menu ,next need you to tweak one by one and make a test in bios .
I found out some options that contain "aspm" text .
1. Advanced > RC ACPI Settings >Native ASPM
2. Chipset >System Agent (SA) Configuration > DMI/OPI Configuration > DMI Link ASPM Control
3. Chipset >System Agent (SA) Configuration > PEG Port Configuration ,under PEG Port Configuration it include ASPM feature for peg0~peg3 ,and a option "Program PCIe ASPM after OpROM"

But i think menu "PEG Port Configuration" was suppress, can you see this sub-menu in bios??

4. Chipset > PCH-IO Configuration > PCI Express Configuration > DMI Link ASPM Control.
You can see several "PCI Express Root Portxx" under PCI Express Configuration ,they contain aspm ,too.
