I have a z97m-Plus/BR Motherboard, I need to install an apple Wifi card on it's m.2 Slot. I bought a special adapter specifically for this. It goes on regular m.2 SSD Slots, and it even has a USB header output to get BT working.
I got it all today, the issue however is that it seems that my motherboard won't accept non SSD devices on the m.2 slot. I have a Samsung 970 evo Plus SSD installed on the PCIe slot with a riser card and it works well on the m.2 slot.
The reason I need this particular configuration is because my m.2 slot is only PCIe 2x whilst the PCIe slot is 8x, thus my SSD has more bandwidth to work with.
and my wifi card is only 1x.
But upon installing the wifi card on the m.2 slot nothing shows up on the OS, I even tried going to linux and make a LSPCI to see if the device appears but no dice.
Bluetooth works fine tho.
I'm attaching a picture of the adapter installed, and a copy o my BIOS
