[REQUEST]Unlocking advanced bios menu Lenovo 374F ( intel Z490)
#1
Hi,

Does someone in here have the time and skill to figure out how to activate the hidden menu in the lenovo 374F ( an intel Z490 based OEM desktop mainboard)? To the frustration of many ( that will show their gratitude if this works), user cannot activate XMP memory settings, so installed custom ram modules dont run at normal speed.
Lenovo has confirmed that the mainboard has this capability and that it can be set in the advanced bios... that they say is only for technics, and they will not share the key combination to get in.

I will chip in for a donation, as will other i think, for the person that can solve this.
Thank you in advance,

Gr JCNW

BIOS Guard technology may lead you to unable to boot the device after installing an unlocked BIOS, unless Slave Attached Flash mode is activated of course. SAF mode is another thing for technicians, about which little is known. So this request becomes more complex. I am here not about to provide further help. Just letting you know what you got involved in.

Thxn, but to my knowledge its just a key combi to unlock the features, my hope was that someone could reverse engineer the sequence, or find leads of somekind

thxn a bunch,  what could helps is that e.g. the legion i7 got unlocked ( is a laptop, but also intel, lenovo, and bios looks a like), there the combo was holding fn and then slide from q to p a to l z to m. It doesnt work in the z490, but chances are that a combi alike is used. Addendum: https://matthiashauber.de/Hardware/Lenov...%20unlock/ , unlock of the Lenovo yoga slim laptop different hardware, but chances of key combination similarity are likely, as technicians work on different hardware so it should be easy to remember. ( i take the assumption that they dont write the combo down, as its not to be found online).

normal keyboard input options are btw very limited ( arrow keys, enter, and some Fx for saving ect), there is no free lettter text field or something. Only a few numerical.
