Trying to flash Panasonic CF31MK5!
#1
Trying to use clean CF31MK5 “Donor” BIOS ROM file to flash another CF31MK5 with BIOS password.
First tried running Aptio5 under Windows to flash it with the clean BIOS but the option to flash the NVRAM was grayed out.
Then I tried running it under DOS [ afudos CF31MK5 /N ]
It completes 35% and errors out.
ROM ID’s do not match???
/X does not work.
I check both ROM files ID and they match???
What does not match is the GUID:
Is there a way to copy just the GUID: from the password CF31 ROM file and insert it in the donor ROM file???
Is there a way to have it ignore the GUID: and not try to change it???
Any help would be appreciated.

You need to use a hardware programmer.

I watched someone use Aptio5 in DOS remove the password.
Could not catch what commands he used, and he would not reveal.
I have completed the same process for the CF31MK1, MK2, MK3 and MK4.
Then had a friend write a script so all we need to do is boot W2GO run the script and it takes about 2 minutes to clear the password.
Also completed the same for the CF19, CF52 and CF53.
We process thousands of Panasonics every month and I need to find a solution for this model.
Best regards,
