ASUS X501A CPU 1000M > 3210M upgrade clean ME bios to prevent 30min shutdown
#1
Hi, to make long story short I am here to ask for help
if possible to get  Asus X501AAS213 bios with
intel management clean in order to be able to
use i5 3210m without 30 min shutdown.

I have found some other bios version in  bin format
and managed to perform python  me_cleaner
but I am not sure if that might brick my laptop.

I have  X501AAS213 OEM and will also send
extracted bios using  Universal Bios Backup ToolKit 2.0
which I did not find the way to clean,
so if it can be  me_cleaned and converted back
to OEM file type so that I can use Asus Easy Flash to flash it.
Because EZ flash seems not  to recognize  .rom or .bin files.

Also there is 2MB difference between my bios and the ones I
found, dont know if that matters.

I have attached the files.

Thank You!

And since new here, sorry if I broke any rules.

Attached Files
.rar   AmericanMegatrendsInc.-X501A1.213 - extracted using Universal Bios Backup ToolKit 2.0.rar (Size: 2.42 MB / Downloads: 4)
.rar   AsusX501MBX401AREV2.0mod - Cleaned ME with python.rar (Size: 2.48 MB / Downloads: 3)
.rar   Asus X401A Rev3.0 Clean ME.rar (Size: 3.35 MB / Downloads: 4)
.rar   Asus X501 MB X401A REV2.0.rar (Size: 3.46 MB / Downloads: 1)

For some reason it wont let me upload attachment, but this is the link
https://ibb.co/D5XR5s8
I merged two imgs  and since my board is x401a rev 20  is it  safe to use  cleaned
version of  Asus X501 MB X401A REV2.0 ?
Do I use Asus's WinFlash since it is a bin file or something else? And is it ok since it is 8MB and curent is 6MB.

Thanks!

Your notebook has HM70 chipset. HM70 has well known problem and can't run i3/i5/i7 more then 30 minutes. It can't be solved by any BIOS mods.
Only hub(HM70) replacing will help. Or you can replace whole motherboard to new one with HM75, HM76 or HM77.
