HI
So since asus came out with this update last 2020 for the bios of this laptop the undervolting capabilites got serverly limited to the point that I can't game or do cpu intensive tasks without the cpu going over 89C which drops performance by a lot. I have looked for the original 309 bios for this model but its no where to find. So modding is the only option or to suffer i guess, anyone with the same or similar model can help me with this. I hope i got the right dump here.
- Model: Asus ROG STRIX-G15-G512LW
- Processor: Intel Core i7 10750H
- RAM: Samsung 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4-3200 1.2v JEDEC
- GPU: Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070
- HDD: 512 GB SSD M.2 NVME x2 1TB M.2 NVME
- OS : Windows 10 Pro 64 bits
My issues are with the bios limits me in the configuration of my CPU, both for undervolting and overclocking. The ideal would be to have a fully unlocked firmware, with all the hidden options available.
Unlock a maximum of configurable options from the bios, in particular :
> Advanced / OverClocking Performance Menu / ALL
> Chipset / ALL
> Memory Configuration / ALL
> XTU Interface limitation
