1. Download Original Update From HP, Save it to Desktop

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/gener...R1002_AUEN

2. Press next , accept the license agreeement , wait for it to extract , click ok and then STOP when tyou get the message "THIS UTILITY WILL UPDATE YOUR BIOS" and the options of YES , NO , or CANCEL. Leave this window open but do not click anything!

3. Click Start , go to Run and type %TEMP% to open the temp folder

4. Now look for a folder ending in .tmp , when i was making these instructions my temp folder was called pft8845.tmp but it may be different for you. In this folder you will find several files , which is what the HP installer extracted. There is a .rom file (315.rom) which is the original HP bios. There is also the flashing utility and instructions. Now , delete the 315.rom from this folder.

5. Copy and paste my modded bios file (the .rom file) and paste it into this folder and rename to the original file (315.rom in this example)

6. Go back to the bios update progrma , click yes , let it update and restart the computer!

ok, i tried writing the file as an iso to a disk, and running it as a boot disk. But it completely skips the disk boot. "i did change the boot order to cd-group first" Huh

Okay you can try this. Take the original EXE install that you downloaded and extract it. I would reccomend extracting it with 7 zip or winrar. Then replace the rom file with the modded one and make sure the name of the files match. then run the installer.exe found in the extracted setup.

someone told me that the vga bios from here ( http://download2.msi.com/files/downloads...093v39.zip ) works. i pulled it out and opened it with a hex and it says ATI RADEON XPRESS 200 Series. so thats right. when i try to put it in the bios it says the file is too big.

Thank you for the link

I have replaced the VGA bios by default from HP with the one from the MSI board you provided me with!. I used the pre modded one ive done which has been unlocked and had HP 2.1 SLIC added aswell.

Flash at your own risk!
