Hello,
I recently found a motherboard that was in my first PC - Gigabyte 945PL-S3 (rev. 1.0) - I know this motherboard doesn't officially suport any Quads, but after checking with at least 3 different Q6600s - it recognized every of them perfectly fine (I mean - it boots with 1.8 GHz clock due to FSB800, but it recognizes them as Q6600 and many other CPUs is doing pretty fine with FSB near 1200, so at least stock CPU's performance might be achieveable), but the BIOS freezes before disk recognition - Patch ID field shows basically 0000, so I assume it's BIOS incompatibility and rather than hardware one.
I use the last BIOS for this mobo - F6.
