1.Until the tokin is replaced, no other cpu will work/impossible to know which one would, and I basically need to have this thing changed, maybe to some tantallum caps?
2.If this is a hardware issue then no code-altering of any reasonable sort will work, but, without at least a multimeter, I can't check it to make sure anyway -- I take it you concluded a hardware issue like that because T7700 is by all means supposed to work here and it doesn't, is that right?
3. I presume the laptop wouldn't behave so categorically simply because of old microcode, so there's no point in me even checking that?
I'll check anyway, got nothing better to do atm.
[EDIT: I won't, I literally can NOT find intelmicrocodelist.exe out on the internet, I'm ashamed]
4. Is there anything else I can do, besides:
-taking it to a technician for that cap fix
-leaving it as is with the celeron
Sorry for all the questions. Reflashed a samsung with odin once, but I'm really new to the electronic and firmware side of things.

1) remove AC jack, Main Battery, and CMOS Battery
2) remove HDD and all DIMMs
3) install new CPU
4) wait 10 mins
5) press and hold power button for 30 sec.
6) install CMOS Battery and one DIMM only, inject AC jack (without Main Battery!)
7) try to boot your laptop.

The cpu has this on the black rectangle at the top:
LF80537 T7700
S814A000 SLAF7
And the bios battery seems freaking soldered to the motherboard -- has a blue ring around the battery itself and a metal clip holding onto it at the top. The clip is what's soldered in two little places on the mobo.
I don't know if I can "remove" it without soldering the clip off, though I "can" bend it away from the board a bit together with the battery. Pls advise.
Also, unrelated, the main battery seems to be borked, the laptop says it's not even there. I power the laptop from the grid.

Current BIOS hasn't microcode for SLAF7 with CPUID=06FB
Code: ╔══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╗

I take it there's not much use adding the microcode into BIOS in the board's current condition, but I do wonder just how important it is. If the cpu is workable, will the machine just throw a little error most of the time and launch anyway, or is it much more integral than that?
Anyways, I guess I'll just be leaving the celeron inside -- of 1-core compatible cpus it seems to be the best.
I'm not about to solder caps to a motherboard and risk killing a laptop that's not even mine, so I'll see how much that would cost at the nearest repair shop, and, if that works out with the T7700 in the end, I'll post an update here.
Thank you very much for your time and expertise.

Have you any T8100, T8300, T9300 or T9500?

No, not at all. I can exchange T7700 for one of those at a time, but I trust the seller won't be putting up with this sort of b*****it. You think there's reason to keep trying new CPUs? Those are what I was going to try next if T7700 didn't work btw, switch it for one of the penryns if any are available.
[EDIT]
8300 is available. I love how it's sSpec is SLAYQ lol.
May or may not work since the microcode is there, right?

Current BIOS already has microcode for T8300

Yes, so I say. If it has the microcode the CPU may just work right?
Why not try and put in the T7700 microcode then?
I mean, Merom is previous gen.
Then again, it's not complaining about microcode, it's refusing to POST at all.
