I have an old Lenovo ThinkPad L390 Yoga which seems to have an issue with a cracked solder ball (or balls) for the CPU die, because sometimes, it shows these vibrating lines on a black screen and the system freezes.
As chance would have it, I was hoping to update the BIOS and maybe make the fan start more often in order to cool the laptop properly, because it seems to have some issues with overheating, which has probably led to the above mentioned issue. But, while it was doing the BIOS update, the screen froze as per above and the system restarted to a black screen and a musical tone. Go figure!
I have attached a BIOS dump of its damaged BIOS hoping that someone here would have the knowledge and be kind enough to help me fix it.
