Asus P5LP-LE (HP Leonite & Leonite2) BIOS Unlock

does it boot at all or no?

Try clearing the cmos by unplugging the power cord and moving the jumper from pins 1&2 to pins 2&3 or removing the battery for an hour.

also this person had luck reflashing by attaching a floppy drive

This is a first for me so correct me if i did something wrong please. After weeks of research trying to find a way to change the bios i stumbled upon this site and what you guys do here is just too good to be true Tongue. I have a HP-Pavilion a6040n desktop computer (http://search.hp.com/query.html?lang=en&search=++&qt=a6040n&la=en&cc=us&charset=utf-8 ) and I'm trying to overclock some of the hardware in it but hp has neutered it =[. If this bios cant be unlocked could i get a recommendation on what i could change it to?

Here is the info it says I'm supposed to post, copied directly from Everstrive report wizard.
  • Motherboard Name: Asus P5LP-LE (Leonite) (3 PCI, 1 PCI-E x16, 4 DDR2 DIMM, Audio, Video, LAN, IEEE-1394)
  • Motherboard Chipset: Intel Lakeport-G i945G
  • BIOS Type: Award (10/30/07)
  • Link to official bios download: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softw...pv-60348-1&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&os=2100&product=3377278&sw_lang=

The link i posted to the official bios is the only thing i could find because on Asus' website it seems my board doesn't exist.

Sorry , i could have sowrn that id repliedt o this , anyway here i go again lol Tongue

The reason your board isnt on the Asus website is because its a special oem variant ie. Asus make it for HP computers only. Therefore , all the bios updates and drivers etc come from HP.

Now ive taken a look at the bios but unfortunately am encountering a few issues getting it to open!

Will post back with progress

i would also like to request it. i have same exact PC but i am just trying to unlock the udma options for hard drives and also if its possible to have the onboard video card power on without having to select it as primary video card. i'm not really sure how the modding all works, but i have a lot of greyed out areas in my bios.. i have tried to overclock, no real stuff, but i did come across setfsb which works really well. This motherboard is a pain in the butt and if you happen to unlock even just a little bit of it that would be awesome. thanks, and thanks hogarth123 for starting this thread so i could find myself here

I can also confirm that I was able to extract the award modules but cannot load the BIOS as of yet either.

Please use this tool and attach the image so we can work with it.
