Here you go , i used Asus 2.1 SLIC + Certificate Included:-

1. Copy and paste ******.XRM-MS certificate file into C-Drive.

2. After pasting this file into C-Drive, go to START - ALL PROGRAMS - ACCESSORIES - COMMAND PROMPT. Right click on Command Prompt and RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR.

3. When Command Prompt opens, type at the prompt: slmgr.vbs -ilc c:\********.xrm-ms and hit the Enter Button. Wait for the Script Host to answer you with a message that the license was installed successfully....this could take a few minutes and so be patient.

4. After receiving the message that the license was installed successfully, type at the command prompt:

slmgr.vbs -ipk *****-*****-*****-*****-***** (Replace with any OEM SLP Product Key for your installed version of Windows 7 , they are not hard to find).Be Patient and wait for the message to say that the Product Key was successfully installed. After it says successfully installed, reboot the computer.

5. When you are back at your desktop, go to START - COMPUTER - right click on Computer and choose PROPERTIES and see if it is activated with an OEM product ID.

I have flashed the new bios and all seemed well, but the bios will not start when reset and needs to have the power switched off and back on. I have cleared the bios and also removed and replaced the battery but it still won't start from a reset. Any ideas?

When it is working everything is running extremely slow.

UPDATE:
I'm afraid I have to report a failure.
Bios flashed without problems.
I can enter bios set-up without problems.
Windows locks up half way through loading. Trying to reinstall windows results in lock-up half way through install. No error messages. Reset results in no bios loading.

Shame it seem to be going so well. Thank you for trying.

There is a mod done for this board already. Please check the unlocked CPU section where an slic 2.1 bios was posted for a later version. 1701 is pretty outdated for this board.

Thanks,
TheWiz

I am confused, I looked at the thread in unlocked CPU, but for the life of me don't know which is the working bios, there are a few downloads of different versions, and none seem to have been tested and confirmed.
If you would be so kind as to give me the link to the correct working Asus M2N-SLI deluxe slic 2.1bios, I would be most grateful.
