Insyde H20 bios gateway nv7915U
#1
i know this is going to be a tough one..
i do not have a bios to mod nor is gateway giving one up.
is there a way to backup my bios, then mod it and the reflash it?
reason: i want to see if it has hidden options that can be unlocked.
thanks.

If your fortunate enough to have an Award or AMI bios then you can use the following tool to generate a backup copy of your bios:-

http://dl.dropbox.com/u/747181/Universal...Backup.EXE

then we can see if theres anything hidden , not all bioses have hidden options though but we can look

So far no luck, but possibly a trip to http://biosagentplus.com may be eventful.

I might be wrong here but if it's an Insyde job shouldn't it be as easy as saving the top 1 or 2 MB of 4GB depending on bios size. For a 1MB BIOS that would be FFF00000-FFFFFFFF. In which case something like RwEverything should be able to do it for you.
