Asus VivoPC M32CD Kabylake compatibility
#1
I apologize for my translated English. I purchased this PC to create a NAS at a very low price but I can't update the bios towards kabylake. I am getting bios incompatible error. The only bios I can install are 0902 and 1102 (1101 I think so but I haven't tried). If I mount the i3-7100 the PC does not post and remains with a black screen. With 6600 everything works. Can anyone help me make this mainboard compatible with Kabylake? Thank you

Have you a hardware programmer?

Unfortunately no.....I have never needed to carry out these procedures....I have always purchased new and compatible motherboards and CPUs. Nothing like this had ever happened to me before. Is this the only possible way?

In bad case you can't recover your motherboard without it...

If it's a cheap purchase I can evaluate.....it could also be useful to me in the future. otherwise I could directly buy a skylake CPU

OK. Just buy suitable CPU.

I recovered this programmer (CH341A) .......could you give me some advice on how to proceed?

I'm not a tutor. I make BIOS mods only.

but no, of course......I can learn to use it myself.....I would just like to understand which bios to flash

I'm writing for anyone who might need it in the future. I flashed the Bios 0804 on the manufacturer's website with the CH341A programmer and I confirm the complete compatibility of Kabylake. All the advanced functions of the original bios are lost and the CPU and MOBO temperature readings are wrong with AIDA64 Buisness. I add the removability of the unsoldered chip on the mobo. I think it is possible to flash even without a programmer by forcing with non-official ASUS procedures.
