Gigabyte X58A-UD3R 2.0 VT-d unlock
#1
Hi!

I've got a Gigabyte X58A-UD3R 2.0 where Intel VT-d cannot be enabled in the BIOS setup. VT-x can be enabled through "MB Intelligent Tweaker (M.I.T.)" -> "Miscellaneous Settings" -> "Virtualization Technology".

The most recent BIOS version is FE:

The Foxconn Bloodrage has VT-d options under "Advanced Chipset Features" (which isn't even there in the Gigabyte BIOS):

I can't get Modbin6 2.04.03 to open this, nor have I gotten it to open the BIOS for the rev 1. But I did give you Intel Matrix RAID 10.1, JMicron JMB363 1.08.01, Realtek PXE 2.37.

Feel free to use/link/host any BIOS I post, no credit necessary. However, this is at your own risk and I take no responsibility. Always keep a backup of a known-good BIOS. Don't flash a motherboard if you don't have a backup computer just in case.

Always use RAID mode. RAIDFix

Thanks but it's really the VT-d options I'm after Wink

I have rev 1 myself and I was annoyed when I realized the lack of the VT-d option as well. I might not buy Gigabyte next time, but I'm also not going to buy Asus until they give us a newer Intel Matrix RAID ROM.

I confirmed X58A-UD3R 2.0 supports VT-D with my i950.
I am not sure when it was added by the latest beta bios FH1 do have this option after pressing Ctrl-F1.
(Warning, the menu may not show up if you have SLIC mod)

Hi all,

Bumping this thread,

I have searched far and wide to find a bios I can use for my X58A-UD3R 2.0.

I am trying to activate VT-d and it looks like I need the FH1 BIOS that I cannot obtain

I am using proxmox on this hardware and cannopt pass anything through until I can activate VT-d in the bios.

Can anyone help?
