I have a HP T520 Thin Client that I will convert into a PfSense router, but it only has one ethernet port. I have purchased a mini Pcie Ethernet adapter to have two ethernet ports, but the device briefly shows the HP logo and turns off and on. When plugging in a mini Pcie WiFi adapter, the device boots fine. When using a different ethernet adapter, the device still gets stuck in a boot loop. I have tested both ethernet adapters on my laptop and both work, suggesting that the HP Thin Client has a whitelist. I have tried removing the whitelist but couldn't. I also have aBIOS programmer to test the bios and recover it if it gets bricked.
