Need help with Zotac 9300 + Xeon CPU.

Hello, friends.

Yet again, I need your help with this stupid not-OEM-but-kind-of-OEM board.

Goal is to run Xeon L5410 on it, much cooler + will run at stock clocks.

Board revision is GF9300-B-E, no idea why Zotac made so many revisions of the same board, but hey.

I found out there are no Xeon mods for B rev, please help.

Explain exactly what happens when you try to boot with new CPU.

Hello, my friend.

I sincerely doubt I can get the board to post w/o modified BIOS.
It's already pretty finicky.

Let me try that nonetheless, I'll get back to you shortly.

You're not going to believe this, but board actually posted --- first try.

Recognized as Xeon L5410, it did hang on me, though.

After I cleared CMOS, I get error 25.

Few more reboots, PC posts O.K.
