Ah, that makes sense. Hmmm. I can't boot with the card in, so...

It's a Dell 4965AGN miniPCI. Is there a database somewhere I can search? Forgive my noobtastic noobishness, please. I've some google-fu, but my hunch is that these can vary from card to card. Am I right?

Hi Really sorry to bother you and to Necro such a long dead topic but was hoping for a little help or maybe a big Miracle depending on your point of view. I am getting one of my out tablets out and decided to upgrade a little so thinking of getting a new WLAN card and also upgrading the memory, I did some research on the tablet and it appears that there is a White list in place which restricts what WLAN cards the tablet will with boot with so started looking up ways around it. So far all my looking and googling lead me back here to a very old post and the file has since been deleted or renamed and no google link has lead to a flash-able file, I was wondering if anyone here might have a copy of it still lying around and if not maybe tell me how reproduce it.

From google searches it looks like a long time ago people were able to add wifi cards to the whitelist for the HP TC1100 but all the links to the BIOS download are all long gone now and some of them were reported to have bricked the machines. I'm looking to install a new modern card into the system or at least a better one and I was hoping someone could re-do the unlocking of the BIOS and preferably remove the whitelist entirely. The forum posts from yesteryear also mentioned something called SLIC 2.1 but I'm just a noob trying to get a better card to work so I wouldn't know what that is. send help

edit: tried making thread, got moved here, still need the working bios. not sure if it will have to be redone or if someone still has one lying around, but either way it would be great if someone could post it
