[REQUEST] Packard Bell TE69KB bios unlock
#21
Will attempt now, fingers crossed!!! Big Grin

Okay I attempted it and nothing went wrong, but I don't know if it worked though, at step "Wait until the fan will run, then release "Fn" + "Esc" keys" the screen was still blank, the first time I let go as soon as fan started, the black screen remain for maby 4 seconds and then the laptop proceeded with boot, second time, I held the Fn+Esc keys during black screen, and again it lasted about 4 seconds and then the system booted normally, so how do I know if it worked???

P.S. use the Recovery Procedure like into instructions !

Recovery Procedure :

- Performing the emergency flash:

- Format an USB Fat32 Dos Mode
- Copy Bios File EA40KBX64.fd into USB root
- Shutdown the netbook (notebook)
- Remove all peripheral devices
- Remove battery, Remove AC power cord
- Press and hold the power button for 10 seconds (battery and AC power still out), then release
- Put the USB Memory Stick in the USB port
- Hold "Fn" + "Esc" and plug the AC power cord in
- Now press the power button (whilst still holding Fn + Esc).
Wait until the fan will run, then release "Fn" + "Esc" keys
- The fan will run for about 2-10 minutes and the USB drive activity LED will blink
- I think the netbook rebooted automatically. If it doesn't, unplug the AC power cord once the fan has turned off

The bios should be updated with the modified BIOS, and boot as per normal.

Hi friends, I'm new in this forum. I have a question. I have Packard Bell EasyNote TE69KB with AMD E1-2500 APU and BIOS InsydeH20 v3.7 System Bios V2.09. I need v209s.fd (*.fd) file "bios firmware" with opened Advanced options,to upload it with a Windows flashing tool from PackardBell,or a keys combination to enter bios with unlocked options,or a way to full reset bios settings. I need it because someone set in bios too much shared memory for integrated GPU HD8240 and now the laptop use only 1,4GB of ram (useable memory),total ram is 4GB and 2,6GB is in "Hardware reserved". I tryed with all windows 7,8.1,10 x64,no changes. Thanks to all. Smile
Or there in Bios has some other hidden option for memory usage or memory management.
This is a last version of the bios 2.09  https://global-download.packardbell.com/...5197149991
